    Science Model Competition

Build a working model, test an idea and explain the science.

Learners build a model or experiment, follow the scientific method and explain their findings to judges — online, at a school exhibition or at a physical science fair.

    Primary (6–12)
    Junior secondary (13–15)
    Senior secondary (16–18)

    Categories

    Physics

Forces, energy, electricity, machines, light and sound.

    Chemistry

Reactions, materials, mixtures and safe experiments.

    Biology

Living things, the human body, health and ecosystems.

    Environment & Renewable Energy

Solar, wind, water, recycling and climate.

    How it works

    1. 1Pick a category and write one clear research question.
    2. 2Write a hypothesis — what you expect and why.
    3. 3Build your model or run your experiment, logging progress with photos.
    4. 4Record results and what they mean.
    5. 5Submit photos/video, then explain your model to judges in 2 minutes.

Rounds can run school → district → provincial → national; winners move forward.

    Entry checklist

    Research question and hypothesis
Photos or video of the model at different stages
Results (table, chart or observations) and conclusion
    Materials list and safety statement
No fire, mains electricity, dangerous chemicals or live animals without a teacher present. Judges may disqualify unsafe models.
